1. Overview
InboxEvo is a browser extension that helps users organize and understand Gmail messages through a cleaner dashboard, summaries, categories, priority indicators, quick actions, calendar information, package updates, financial insights, notifications, and related productivity features.
This Privacy Policy applies to the InboxEvo browser extension, the public website located at getinboxevo.com, InboxEvo’s hosted authorization and API services, and support communications sent to InboxEvo.
InboxEvo does not require a separate InboxEvo username and password. If you connect Google, InboxEvo creates the technical authorization and session records needed to keep that connection working.
InboxEvo is designed to process only the information needed to provide the features a user chooses to use. It is not an email provider, bank, lender, payment processor, healthcare provider, or advertising network.
2. Information InboxEvo Processes
The information InboxEvo processes depends on the features you use and the information contained in your connected Google account. The categories below describe the data that may be handled by the extension and supporting services.
Google account and identifying information
- Your Google account email address, display name, and account identifiers returned through Google’s authorization process.
- Names, email addresses, and other identifying details contained in message sender, recipient, or calendar information.
Authentication information
- Google authorization codes, access tokens, refresh tokens, granted scopes, connection status, and related technical identifiers.
- InboxEvo hosted-session identifiers and other security state used to authenticate extension requests.
InboxEvo does not receive or store your Google password. Google credentials are entered only on Google-controlled authorization pages.
Gmail messages and personal communications
- Message identifiers, thread identifiers, sender and recipient information, subject lines, snippets, message text, HTML content, timestamps, labels, read status, and related Gmail metadata.
- Images, links, and other website content included in an email when needed to display the original message or InboxEvo’s Clean View.
- User-requested message actions, such as marking a message read, archiving it, deleting it, or opening it in Gmail.
InboxEvo uses this information to display the inbox, generate summaries, organize messages, identify useful categories and priorities, surface relevant reminders, and perform actions the user requests.
Financial and payment information in email
Some emails may contain receipts, bills, payment notices, refunds, statements, account alerts, transaction amounts, masked account details, or similar financial information. InboxEvo may process that content to provide user-facing financial organization and summaries.
InboxEvo does not connect directly to bank or payment accounts, initiate transactions, determine creditworthiness, or use this information for lending decisions.
Calendar and location information
- Google Calendar event identifiers, titles, descriptions, dates, times, attendees, meeting links, status, and event locations when the Calendar feature is used.
- A location you provide or select for weather features, and location text contained in calendar events.
InboxEvo does not use the extension to continuously track precise device location.
Extension preferences and technical information
- Onboarding status, enabled features, notification preferences, display settings, Clean View state, connected-account state, cached dashboard state, and refresh timing.
- Extension version, browser information, request status, error details, and security information needed to operate, troubleshoot, and protect InboxEvo.
InboxEvo is not designed to collect general browsing history, keystrokes, mouse movements, or a record of pages visited outside the services required for InboxEvo’s stated purpose.
3. Google Authorization and API Access
Connecting Google is optional and begins only when you choose to connect your account. InboxEvo uses Google OAuth, which displays the permissions requested and allows you to approve or cancel the connection.
Depending on the features available in the installed version, InboxEvo may request Google permissions needed to:
- Identify the connected Google account.
- Retrieve and display Gmail messages and metadata.
- Apply user-requested Gmail actions such as mark read, archive, or delete.
- Retrieve Google Calendar events for the Calendar and Daily Brief features.
The scopes shown on Google’s consent screen are the authoritative description of the Google permissions being requested. InboxEvo uses Google data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy and the extension’s store listing.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is not used for personalized advertising, ad targeting, data brokerage, determining creditworthiness, or lending. InboxEvo does not permit humans to read Google user data except when the user has affirmatively provided specific data for support, when access is necessary for security or abuse investigation, when required by law, or in another circumstance permitted by applicable policy.
4. Processing and Storage in the Browser
InboxEvo processes Gmail and related dashboard information within the extension to render messages, organize content, generate summaries, support Clean View, and provide quick actions.
The extension may use browser extension storage to save:
- Preferences and feature settings.
- Onboarding and tutorial state.
- Google connection and hosted-session state.
- Cached Gmail, Calendar, summary, notification, market, weather, and dashboard data needed for performance and continuity.
- Last-refresh times, alarm state, and technical status used to prevent unnecessary or duplicate work.
Your browser may synchronize some extension settings across devices when browser synchronization is enabled. Browser synchronization is provided and controlled by your browser provider, not by InboxEvo.
5. Hosted Authorization and API Services
InboxEvo uses a hosted authorization service at theallinonetech.com/echomail-auth to support secure Google OAuth and connected features. This service may process and store:
- Google OAuth authorization codes, access tokens, refresh tokens, scopes, token-expiration information, and revocation state.
- InboxEvo installation origins, redirect addresses, hosted-session identifiers, request nonces, and related security state.
- Google Calendar data returned for connected Calendar features.
- Standard request logs, which may include IP address, browser or user-agent information, request time, endpoint, response status, and error details.
InboxEvo’s hosted authorization service is used to maintain the Google connection and support authenticated feature requests. It is not designed to operate as an independent copy of your Gmail mailbox.
6. Weather, Location, and Market Context
InboxEvo may request public weather, geocoding, alert, and market information from third-party data services to display optional context in the Daily Brief and dashboard.
For weather features, InboxEvo may send a location name or geographic coordinates derived from a location you selected to a weather or geocoding provider. These providers may also receive standard network information such as an IP address, user-agent information, and request time.
Market requests may include public ticker symbols or market identifiers. Gmail message contents are not provided to weather or market-data providers for these requests.
7. Information Collected Through the Website
You may browse the public InboxEvo website without creating an account. Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically create standard server logs that include:
- Internet Protocol address.
- Browser and device information.
- Requested pages and files.
- Date and time of access.
- Referring webpage information.
- Basic error, abuse-prevention, and security information.
This information may be used for website operation, debugging, reliability, analytics, abuse prevention, and security.
Cookies
The public website is not designed to use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. Essential session cookies may be used when required for security, forms, or other interactive website functions.
8. Support and Contact Requests
When you contact InboxEvo for support, you may provide:
- Your name and email address.
- The subject and content of your message.
- Browser, operating-system, extension-version, or installation details.
- Screenshots, logs, sample messages, or other troubleshooting information you choose to provide.
This information may be used to respond, investigate a problem, improve InboxEvo, prevent abuse, and maintain a reasonable record of support communications.
Please redact passwords, authentication codes, complete financial account numbers, medical information, and other sensitive information before sending support materials unless a specific item is genuinely necessary to resolve the request.
9. How Information Is Used and Shared
InboxEvo uses information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the extension, website, and connected services.
- Authenticate a Google connection and respond to user-requested Gmail and Calendar actions.
- Organize, summarize, display, and prioritize information for the user.
- Provide notifications, calendar context, weather, market information, and other requested dashboard features.
- Respond to support requests, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.
InboxEvo does not sell personal information or Google user data. InboxEvo does not transfer user data to data brokers, advertising networks, or third parties for personalized advertising.
Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with:
- Google, to complete authorization and provide Gmail and Calendar functionality requested by the user.
- Hosting, infrastructure, email, security, weather, geocoding, and market-data service providers that support InboxEvo’s stated purpose.
- Authorities or other parties when required by applicable law, valid legal process, or a necessary security or abuse investigation.
- A successor in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset transfer only after obtaining any explicit prior consent required for Google user data and subject to applicable law and continued protection of the information.
Service providers are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to InboxEvo and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations. InboxEvo does not send Gmail or Calendar content to weather or market-data providers.
10. Security
InboxEvo uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information associated with the extension and website. InboxEvo transmits user data over secure HTTPS connections. Other measures include authorization checks, restricted service endpoints, limited permissions, session controls, access restrictions, and safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access.
No browser extension, website, server, network, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. You should keep your browser and operating system updated, protect access to your device, and revoke access if you believe your Google connection has been compromised.
11. Data Retention
Browser-stored preferences, connection state, and cached dashboard data may remain until replaced, expired, cleared, disconnected, or removed with the extension, subject to how the browser handles synchronized or retained data.
Google authorization credentials and hosted-session records may be retained while the Google connection remains active or as otherwise necessary to complete revocation, disconnection, security, backup, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations. Expired or disconnected records may be deleted or de-identified according to operational requirements.
Server and security logs may be kept for a limited period reasonably necessary for reliability, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. Support communications may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain continuity, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
12. Your Choices and Requests
You can control InboxEvo and connected data in several ways:
- Turn optional extension features on or off.
- Disconnect Google through InboxEvo’s settings.
- Revoke InboxEvo’s access through your Google Account’s third-party connection settings.
- Clear extension data through your browser settings.
- Disable or uninstall InboxEvo through the browser’s extension manager.
- Disable browser synchronization through your browser provider’s settings.
- Contact InboxEvo to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with support or hosted services, subject to identity verification and applicable law.
Removing the extension generally removes locally stored extension data from that browser profile. Revoking Google access or using InboxEvo’s disconnect control is the clearest way to end the hosted Google connection.
13. Children’s Privacy
InboxEvo is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information directly to InboxEvo may contact us so the request can be reviewed.
14. International Use
InboxEvo may be accessed from locations outside the United States. Information processed through the website, hosted services, or support channels may be processed in the United States or other locations used by service providers.
Privacy rights and data-protection requirements may differ by location. Where applicable, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of certain personal information.
15. Third-Party Services
InboxEvo operates in connection with third-party products and services, including Google Gmail, Google Calendar, Google OAuth, browser providers, browser extension stores, website and authorization-service hosting, and public weather, geocoding, alert, and market-data providers.
Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, terms, account settings, and data practices. InboxEvo does not control how those third parties process information in their independent capacity.
InboxEvo is an independent product and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Google LLC, Microsoft Corporation, Opera, or other third-party providers unless explicitly stated otherwise.
16. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when InboxEvo features, data practices, legal requirements, or service providers change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Material changes may also be communicated through the website, extension, browser-store listing, or another reasonable method. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy where permitted by law.
